1. What is MVTR?
Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR), measured in grams per square meter per 24 hours (g/m²/24h), indicates a fabric's ability to allow water vapor molecules to pass through while preventing liquid droplets from penetrating.
2. The Microporous Extrusion Mechanism
Tingshuang's breathable backsheet is extruded from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) compounded with 45%-50% microscopic calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) mineral particles. The film is stretched longitudinally during extrusion, pulling polymer chains away from the mineral crystals to generate over 10,000 micro-voids per square centimeter.
- Water Vapor Molecule Diameter: Approx. 0.0004 microns (passes through freely).
- Liquid Water Droplet Diameter: Approx. 100 microns (blocked completely by hydrophobic surface tension).
- Tingshuang Lab Benchmark: MVTR rating of 3,800 to 4,500 g/m²/24h, ensuring steady heat dissipation and preventing perspiration-induced diaper rash.
