1. Theoretical vs Practical Shelf Life
Quanzhou Tingshuang diapers feature an official shelf life of 36 months (3 years) from the date of manufacture. Because the materials (polypropylene nonwoven, fluff pulp, and sodium polyacrylate SAP) are inorganic or dry bleached cellulose, they do not undergo biological decay in dry environments.
2. Atmospheric Vulnerabilities
The primary risk to stored diapers is atmospheric moisture absorption. Superabsorbent polymers possess extreme hygroscopicity; if exposed to high relative humidity (RH > 75%), SAP grains can absorb ambient water vapor through damaged packaging micro-tears, reducing instant fluid absorption speed.
3. Recommended Importer Warehouse SOP
- Maintain warehouse temperature between 10°C and 35°C, with relative humidity below 65%.
- Keep master cartons elevated at least 15 cm above concrete warehouse floors using wooden or plastic pallets.
- Store at least 50 cm away from exterior walls to avoid condensation moisture transfer.
- Rotate stock utilizing strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory controls.
